Edxucate is led by Cassie Xu, an experienced education professional with over 12 years of experience working across K12 and higher education formal and informal learning environments. Cassie was formerly the Director of K12 and Continuing Education at the Columbia Climate School, where she was responsible for the creation and execution of in-person, hybrid, and online professional learning and pre-college programs across the School.

Cassie also founded the Office of Education and Outreach at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory at Columbia University. She developed the framework needed to make more efficient use of institutional resources, encourage participation in education and outreach efforts, and drive new proposal development and funding for partnerships.

Prior to joining Columbia University, Cassie was a classroom educator in Toronto, Canada and the Canadian International school in Macao, China.

Cassie holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in International Educational Development with a concentration in Curriculum and Teaching from Teachers College, Columbia University.
